A political peephole

The one-eyed man is king in the kingdom of the blind. But do the blind men know there is a one-eyed man amongst them? Because if they do, distrust is going to simmer in their ranks and the blind men will make preparations to be united against the visioned. What if the blind men aren't aware of the presence of the one-eyed man? There you have it: a democracy.
